“The Muslim World: Between Hope and Despair (Part I & II)” book launched
The Academic Press and Publishers Library (APPL) hosted a book launching ceremony for “The Muslim World: Between Hope and Despair”, authored by Dr. Kamal Uddin Siddiqui, former Principal Secretary and Cabinet Secretary to the Government of Bangladesh.
The event took place on Saturday, 9 August 2025, at 5:00 PM at the Begum Sufia Kamal Auditorium, Bangladesh National Museum, Shahbagh, Dhaka.
Discussants were: Ilahi Dad Khan – Former Civil Servant, GoB, Faruk Wasif – Writer and Journalist, Andalib Rashdi – Writer and Researcher.
The welcome address was delivered by Ahmed Sarwerruddawla, Managing Director of APPL.
